Singapore is one of the go to destinations for Filipinos, it is just 3hrs and 45 min flight from Manila and multiple flights per day from different airline companies. Even the airport (Changi Airport) is rated as “World’s Best Airport” by Skytrax. (to compare airline tickets, visit www.skyscanner.com.ph)

Starting April 1, fully vaccinated tourists can now enjoy Singapore without the quarantine. For non-fully vaccinated tourists, please visit the official tourist Singapore website for the requirements (https://www.visitsingapore.com) .

Here are some activities in in Singapore I personally recommend:

1. Universal Studios

(price start at Php 3,072/person)

If Hongkong has Disneyland and S. Korea has Everland, Singapore has Universal Studios. This theme park is located in Resorts World Sentosa at Sentosa, Singapore. It may be quite expensive for an entrance fee, but all worth it. Universal Studios has 7 themed parks like Madagascar, The Lost World, Ancient Egypt and a lot more. My personal favorite ride is the “Transformers: The Ride 3D”, one of a kind experience.

2. Garden by the bay

(Price starts at Php 1,117/adult and non SG resident)

If you are someone who loves flowers, this activity is truly for you. From June 24 to August 14 they have a Hydrangea Holidays floral display which is like an adventure to the Netherlands. There’s also a newly opened Sun Pavilion which features some of the most amazing man-made structures built to house flora and fauna from all over the world. Also you can enjoy the waterfront gardens which are: Bay South, Bay East, Bay Central and conservatories which are the Flower dome and the Cloud Forest. This is my mother’s favorite activity since she loves flowers.

3. Night Safari with Tram ride

(Price starts at Php 2,194.00/adult non SG resident)

Most of the zoos we have visited, or at least for me, are usually open during day time and so I often visit at a regular time when the sun is still up. However, in Singapore, they have Night Safari where you will see and witness 2,500 nocturnal animals. What makes it more exciting is that there’s a tram that will tour you around through 7 geographical regions to see a wide range of animals. Aside from the tram, you can also explore around through walking trails: Fishing Cat Trail, Leopard Trail, East Lodge Trail, and Wallaby Trail. Truly a one of a kind experience where kids and adults can enjoy.

4. S.E.A. Aquarium

As a marine life enthusiast, I cannot miss this one of the world’s largest aquariums with more than 100,000 marine life representing over 800 species. There are nine zones which you can immerse yourself in, very educational and you will experience up-close animal interactions. If you are traveling with kids this sure is a great experience for them, even adults and elderly.
