BOHOL is one of the top tourist destinations in the Philippines. The requirements have started easing up so a lot of local tourists can visit already.

From the famous Chocolate Hills, Baclayon Church, Loboc River and Scuba diving, there is more to experience in Bohol both land and underwater.

One of the very first things to consider before going on a vacation is the Hotel Accommodation. Here are some of my recommendations from mid to high priced hotel accommodations.

OHANA, Panglao Resort

This gem of a hotel has exceptional hotel reviews and the rate I would say fit to the budget. The aesthetic of the room is modern, clean and well maintained. Here are my PROS and CONS

PROS:
-staff are friendly, professional, and accommodating
-the swimming pool is quite big and well maintained
-clean rooms; the air conditioning is well functioned
-they offer a shuttle to Alona Beach and nearby establishments (not farther than Alona beach) ; they also offer transportation to the airport, Tagbilaran pier and other hotels with a fee (the fee depends on the location)
-the breakfast is not free but very affordable: Php 50.00 (Ham/Tocino, rice, egg, cupcake and a drink (coffee, juice, tea)
CONS:
-not beachfront

Establishments near the hotel:

-walking distance to Kun’s Stick and Bowl restaurant; 15 -20 min walk to Common Crew Coffee Roasters & Brewers

Island World Panglao

The hotel is located in Panglao, a budget-friendly hotel. The rooms are cozy, with minimalist high ceiling rooms. They have a 25m lap pool, jacuzzi and kids pool. Here are my PROS and CONS.

PROS:

-The staff and owner himself is there to accommodate all your concerns and requests, they are friendly too
-They offer free shuttle to Alona Beach and nearby establishments (please check on their schedule)
-The room is spacious and high ceiling
-They have variety of food options that you can order
-The Breakfast is not free but offered at an affordable price: Php 50.00

CONS:

-Not beach front

Henann Resort Alona Beach

One of the biggest resorts in Panglao situated in the pristine shores of Alona Beach. 6.5 hectares with 400 room accommodations. There are a lot of facilities you can enjoy like the swimming pools, Cafe and restaurants, Pool bars, 120 meter beachfront and more. Here are my PROS AND CONS:

PROS:

-The room are spacious, clean and very well maintained
-The Breakfast Buffet is really good with variety of food options
-There are a lot of activities you can do inside the resort (Swimming pool/beachfront, pool side bars, a lot more)
-Very near to different restaurants, they also offers dinner buffet

Location: BEACH FRONT

CONS:

-It can get a little crowded during peak season in the beach, pool area and buffet breakfast

Modala Beach Resort

Beautiful new resort in Panglao, Bohol. Located at the northwest side of the island. 15,000 square meters resort with 126 Filipino themed rooms. This resort is my personal favorite. Here are my PROS and CONS:

PROS:
-New resort is very clean, beautiful interior and facilities
-The resort staff were all professional and friendly
-Internet connections in the room is quite good
-Breakfast buffet has variety of options, my personal favorite is the hot chocolate
-They offer free Kayak and Stand up paddle board
-Infinity Pool is beautiful and the beachfront is clean, wide and spacious
-They have Moadto Strip an urban style mall by the beach
